There's not like a universal clear definition. This is a term that kind of bubbled up in the advocate space and the activist space online. And people just started using it as this alternative to what they viewed as the old idea of equality. What they are trying to express is a dissatisfaction in the way that race, gender, and identity, disparities have been handled by the liberal establishment until recently.
