The Honors System

The honors system is a collection of different state honors military and civilian hereditary non-heritatory. In the 20th century are both kind of expanding in scope but also increasingly centralized around a couple of governmental departments who really manage them. It includes on the one hand I didn't really talk about this in the book it includes military medals and some civilian gallantry medals. The thing I was really interested in was the kind of subsystem of the system which is the civilian state honors especially but not exclusively around orders of chivalry and the night hood.
