The Virtue of Charity in the Eucharist
The Eucharist is God's gift of himself. Christ gives himself in the Eucharist so that we can be moved back toward him. If we were to love our neighbor at the same level of God, then we'd be making our neighbor into an idol,. which we can't do. So charity involves God's movement of us to him and from that union we're united with all other creatures insofar as they're known and loved by God.
