The tradeoff that we as users make with social platforms is going to become really, really obvious. Instead of just putting ads next to my posts, you're actually going to take my posts and sell them to open AI to use to build a chatbot. Or you're going to charge me money in Twitter's case. It's trying to get everyone to pay $8 a month for Twitter blue to actually just use your platform.

This episode was produced by Amanda Lewellyn, edited by Amina Al-Sadi, fact-checked by Laura Bullard, engineered by Michael Raphael with help from Patrick Boyd, and hosted by Noel King.
