The Power of Anti-Value
The future of capital accumulation is foreclosed in a towering volume of debt as anti-value. Crisis is due not, Marx tells us, necessarily spell the end of capitalism except for its renewal. An accumulation of debts claims on future value production may outrun the capacity to produce values and surface values in the future. Even if the debts are successfully redeemed, the obligation to repay them forecloses on alternative futures.
