Are There Differences Between Humans and Other Animals and Plants?

We're the only species that has podcasts is a silly way of putting it, but you got to be pretty determined not to look around you. I don't think any discoveries about animal and plant communication will suddenly affect our definition of consciousness. We should give the animals credit in the sense that when we study them, we're studying them. But as a descriptive statement, there are differences between humans and other species.
