The Fukushima Release of Contaminated Water

Around 500 Olympic sized swimming pools of contaminated water sitting in tanks at the site of Fukushima number one nuclear plant, Fukushima Daiichi. Water will be released via a one kilometer tunnel that basically stretches out into the ocean off the coast of Fukushima. Only a certain amount of it, 500 tons in fact, will be released every day. This process is estimated to last the next 30 or even 40 years.
