In 1987, when Gary Hart had a young woman stay all night in his New York townhouse, he was forced to drop out of the presidential campaign. And ultimately this triggered a decline in sort of the status of Christianity in society that is still going to going today. From say, 94 to 2014, we went into a period I called the neutral world. We hit a tipping point where Christianity is no longer seen positively, but it's really not necessarily viewed negatively yet either. Then around 2014, we had a second tipping point in what I called the negative world, where for the first time in the 400 year history of America, Christianity is essentially viewed with disfavor by secular society.
In this bonus episode of White Horse Inn, Michael Horton interviews Aaron Renn about his aim of helping the church in America rise to the challenge of finding success in the 21st century.
