The Limitations of Fracking Technology
Frida Ghitis: How is fracking different than conventional gas extraction? And what are the limitations in terms of, is this the source rock? Is this the end of the end? She says we don't need to go into a lot of detail here, but I think one of the important elements to it is that we're tapping the source rock. Ghitis: We all knew that those shale, those source rocks were beneath all these conventional oil fields. They were sitting there just waiting to be discovered, which they were in the last 150 years.
