The riot girl movement burned very bright in the early 19 nineties. At its root, it was garage rock music created and performed by women that dealt with things women cared about. These women did everything themselves, from playing the music to promoting the gigs or publishing zenes. The biggest of the bunch were probably team dresh and sleeder kinney's line up included cary brownstean on saturday night alive.
