The book is obviously about the history of trans children, but how does that figure of the child more generally in society? How does that structure the history of the trans child over the century plus period you're analyzing? And through today? Yeah, quite deeply. I mean, one of the weird things is that when you get underneath the ideological, the ideologically constructed battles over whatever the hell people think being trans and the child really is, you know, the root problems here are just the way we treat children.
