The Presence of God in the Old Testament
The world was created as a kind of cosmic temple, where God would be present with those who bear his image. And then that cosmic temple is defiled and people are driven out of the Garden of Eden. In new covenant, we don't have boundaries around a particular land or city. We're not limited to Gentiles, non-Jews could become Israelites but they had to become Israelites.
