The Monster of Florence

In 2006, police accused Mario Spetsy of being the monster of Florence. The case against him quickly fell apart and he was released after 23 days. Despite his clashes with Florentine police, he was still determined to unmask the monster Juan Sanferral. In 2008, he and Douglas published an entire book on the case entitled The Monster of Florence. By that stage, there were simply too many conspiracy theories about the monster.
