In california, they used to have a log that if you wanted a transition, you needed two years of psychotheropy. It was a well meaning law, but the laof saying your need to go into psychotherapy for two years before you get to make a decision as a grown up person wasn't the right thing to mandate. In some ways, that gets to what i'm talking about, as you've become more conscious of aspe decisions. But this is also a cultural thing. This happens under its own power.
