The Importance of Understanding the Fundamentals

RPC, remote procedure calls, is kind of like a really old term. It goes all, you know, back to the 80s. The concept exists in order to again, avoid the fundamentals as it were. There's something you can only do on the back end because that's the only place that your database credentials should be available. If you don't really understand that, you could confuse the two and either cause your back end to crash or cause your front end to expose secrets.
