The New York Times says 6,500 people were convicted of simple possession between 1992 and 2021. So that's thousands of folks. Usually we have a pardon. It only helps one or two people at a time. Why isn't a few thousand significant? Well, so that's the group of people that are potentially in the universe that will benefit from this. And I still do want to say it's good for those people.
