New York City's Right to Council Is Underfunded

Right to council was such a critical priority for us in this budget it's why we are so gravely disappointed that this program remains they're deeply underfunded. Only about 30 of those families are actually getting an attorney in housing court. We know that landlords are uh are doing mischievous things i got a call from a neighbor down the street from i grew up in my office today who's landlord is claiming that he hasn't received the checks which is an obvious lie and is taking him to court next week  to try and kick him out of his homeHe needs a lawyer and every tenant facing eviction needs a lawyer so that we can help keep tenants in their homes at the same time
