Liz Mealy is a stand-up comedian who started her career at the age of 22. Her parents are both veterinarians, and she says they were supportive when she first told them that she wanted to go to New York for work. "I think I shielded them from a lot of that like paying my rent $50 gigs at a time stress," said Mealy.
