I've actually been asking a lot of these wearable makers about skin tones. I think there was a thing that came out a while back that was saying that pulse oximeters were not equally good for people of darker skin and all these companies will tell you like yeah that's true just because of the way the technology works. It works by reflecting light into your skin and people with more melanin will reflect less light back. That's just kind of a flaw of the actual technology itself.
