How Many Passwords in the World?
There are massive tables called rainbow tables, which are precomputed hash tables. They use a bunch of agrithms to actually not use as much space and optimized look up inside of them. So you can test millions and millions and millions of passwords a second. If it's tessi, millions a second. How big a list of potential passwords are we talking about here? Like tarrabites of just text, of binary optimized pre hashe tables. But literally, how many passwords in the world? Does that cover? Almost all of them.
