When it was 329, I could be like, hey, you want a tablet? Just get that iPad. As it approaches $500, I can't just say, the base iPad is a nice kid friendly, easy to buy tablet. Now it starts to seem expensive. And Apple seems to be admitting that by keeping a $330 model around,. For now, too, that feels like a concession. That feels like, okay, okay, it's here for now.
