Hezekiah asks god to extend his life so he can take some benefit from it. In 17, he says, behold for peace, i had great bitterness. That's an interesing phrase. Makes you wonder, is the prospect of death helping? Hezekiah appreciate life. I just, i want to outlive the lesson so i can actually do something based on what i've come to learn. The closer we approach god, the more compassion we'll have on suffering souls. We'll want to pick them up on our shoulders and cast their sins behind our backs.
