When we are talking to a microphone, the audio then gets recorded onto a computer. At the moment, we're talking the digital version of this sound is being recorded on a computer and then that will be stored onto a disc somewhere. And then later on, it will be available on the internet. When you want to play it, the device that you're using will connect to that server. And the audio bits will get sent down to your device.
