arrival was one of our top ten films of the decade. The film is about what if 12 alien crafts landed on earth? How would this actually play out? It really embraces the complexity of all that and goes to all those places. I love movies that screw with your mind that way, it wasn't your usual time travel conceit. And i'm just so fascinated by an em like what she says about languageis the foundation of civilization, and it's the first weapon drawn in to conflict.
