The Difference Between False Statements and Lying
John Durham, who was brought in the Justice Department to oversee the investigation of the FBI's involvement in that investigation said he lied this week when he went before Congress. Is there a difference between false statements and lying? Well, they're, I mean, there is to a certain extent, you could lie on, you know, you can make a false statement in error. It's patently false to say there's no evidence of contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence.
