The Importance of Reverence in Interpretation

Father John: One of my teachers in First Theology said, if you go wrong in one area, it's going to pervade your whole works. So she was saying like, oh, Balthazar, if he gets this wrong and dare we hope, well, it probably pervades all his work. How would you respond to that? Well, I think that there are sometimes kind of things that are so structural and so central to a thinking or to a thinker that it will penetrate and affect the way that he thinks about everything.
