Is Political Theory a Debased Form of Philosophy?

In terms of rallying people around a cause, the way somebody like Bernie Sanders or AOC or you know, Mitterrand did back in France, this would be a much, much more useful book. I think part of the reason is that he does think that political theory is a kind of debased form of philosophy. And it just tends to reaffirm various ideological presuppositions that people already have. If you're going to be a political theorist, it's absolutely incumbent upon you to link your political theory to a materialist account of how the world is right now in a theory of power.
