Movie "Bruce Almighty"- Commentary by David Hoffmeister - Weekly Online Movie Workshop
I was thinking back through my 35 years of working with the course identifying which prayers have I prayed in my heart the most? And the first one, I think, is one you might relate to. It's called "Help." The simpler, the better, and the Holy Spirit is aware of that prayer for help. I think the second one, right behind "Help," is "make it obvious." That's my second favorite. Considering we're in this fog of forgetfulness which is a kind of sleep, I can't think of anything more helpful than just crying out for help when you need it or saying "make it obvious" because "make it obvious" is a prayer for guidance. Even if I can't hear your voice, you can still "make it obvious" to me in my nighttime dreams, "make it obvious" with signs and symbols, "make it obvious" with music on the radio, "make it obvious" with the birds and with people. If you keep following the signs and symbols, you will finally hear the voice speak through you openly and straightforward.
