Introduction
In 1912, Ms. Kelly was sitting down with a reporter from the Washington Post when she began describing a curse that had been put on her people centuries before. The Shawnee one by one for 300 years have been said to have met terrible ends as if the curse of Yellow Hair was actually upon them. Just weeks later, after this interview, George Kelly, Miss Kelly's grandson, murdered her over $75 and then took his own life.
