The Importance of Freedom
Freedom is the ability to act based on one's own rational judgment in pursuit of your own rational values, free of coercion. If I put a gun to your head, your thinking is irrelevant. Your ideas are irrelevant. Your values are irrelevant. You do what I tell you to do. Otherwise life is over. There is nothing else. And coercion and force are there. So for the reason force is so evil is because force denies us the capacity to be rational," he says.
