Carbon Offsets - What's Green Washing?

A lack of standards, or if you don't know what standard is acceptable, that creates a lot of ambiguity. An equally unpleasant thing has happened in the last 15 years as companies have bought offsets that turned out to not be truly offsets. Some some sketchy players who took advantage of a need for carbon offsets but they really didn't have the solution and it wasn't durable.
