Do you think about what poetry will look or feel like in a hundred years, or what the readership will look and feel like? Several thousand years ago, poetry was high status, maybe the highest status. But we don't have to focus on that. My optimistic scenario is that a lot of civilization crashes, but there are little welth sub cultures, pockets of a of human left. Maybe they preserve some bits of our culture. And maybe poetry is some of em.
