Service Design and the Existential Moment
I was working with this web company that was building websites and we were doing projects. At the same time, I was trying to figure out how to do something more meaningful around ecological issues. Laffron's and Chris Downs had been talking about the fact that they were both industrial design trained, but they'd always worked in the service sector. So they were kind of having a design and the existential moment. And then we just came together for a weekend and we're like, maybe we're service designers. That was the moment when we set off.
