The Consequences of Being Morally Convicted About Certain Attitudes

People don't respond to either majority influence or normative influence as much when people have moral convictions about the cause. People prefer more social distance from people who don't share their moral convictions. For example, you don't want somebody to marry into your family and be a teacher of your children. You also become less concerned about your peers.
