The Impact of Austerity on Health in the Northeast
For England pre-COVID, we had the first registration of a fall in life expectancy since the post-war period. The fall comes because you've got a full, more drastic, falls of up to 12 months,. For example, in Darlington since 2015 in life expectancy. At the bottom end, then it's in a sense, striking down the national average. And sadly, I think the way local government is funded is unsustainable.
