How Do We Know if It's the Holy Spirit?

In chapter seven, you talk about how the Holy Spirit interacts with the human will. How do I know it's God leading me and not me leading me? And I think so I actually think Augustine, I mean, pastor as he is, is really helpful here. He'll talk about things like interpreting scripture using a hermeneutic of love to kind of adjudicate what's a good reading and what's a bad reading.
