I noticed that the Chinese were walking around grumpy. So when I started teaching them that they needed to practice loving kindness and smiling, that made a big difference in their lives. That really helped them a lot. And I was trying to convince people that if you did loving kindness, you can attain nibana. And that sort of thing. After a couple of years of being in that position, and I was teaching meditation every night to different groups all over Kuala Lumpur,. I decided I wanted to come home. Because I saw that things were starting to keep up in America. And I knew we were going to be going through rough times here. And I saw them bull bit.
