The Relationship of Darwin Origin of Species
He does not have the Darwinian conceptual apparatus at his hands, but he's trying to account for a lot of the same phenomenon. He thinks that we don't need something crazy and mechanistic like Darwin is going to recommend. In fact, later in this book says, you know, because the commonalities among things are not a matter of genes or the fitness of organisms for their environment. It's a matter of the fact that they're all manifestations of a single will.
