The US Military's Role in the Global Capitalist Economy

Oil was the real backer of currency in the post 70s world economy oil. Oil is a fungible resource but deciding who gets it at what price is still something that can't be planned for by OPEC and OPEC situation is different if the US military backs directly your puppet regime through military occupation. America's centrality to the global capitalist economy was getting to the point where it was conflicting with the greater health of the organism.
