How Fast Does This Happen?
It would take a lot of energy from our typical energy sources to take all that rock out of the ground and make it real real fine, right? That's exactly right. And what about the time scale here? I mean, we're talking about a geological process at a global scale. Like how fast does this happen? It's hard for me to kind of wrap my mind around the speed of weathering. But in many ways you probably do have a good sense of it because you've probably driven on roads and looked at rock outcrops for your whole life. The process is slow, the process is slow.
