David Lamy is the son of a poor Guianan immigrant family who made it to Harvard and to the bar. Despite now being firmly part of the establishment, class has always been at the heart of his politics as MP for Tottenham. Campaign were on Grenfell, Windrush, Oxbridge elitism, knife crime drugs. If Labour win the next election, he's going to be the Foreign Secretary.
