Charles Spurgeon said truth is as old as God, not the new. The great JC Ryle said this in his classic book titled warnings to the churches. We don't believe that there are wolves within the walls of the church anymore. Everything within evangelicalism today is filtered through tone. It's like putting butter on a hot stack of pancakes then overlaying it with syrup and whatever else you want to put on it.
