A new quest for the historical Jesus has been launched by Ernst Kesmann. The idea that, well, it's enough as Bortmann himself famously said,. It's enough to know the that. That Jesus existed. But you don't take any of it as history. You don't have to do that. He was a Jew living in Galilee and he did not have a Jewish religion. What I ask about an interesting accusation made about Amesh Gays: How then can anyone imagine that a saying of Jesus, in order to be authentic, had to distance itself from every known expression of Jewish piety? Such an angle of approach is quite close to old-fashioned anti-Semitic attitude
