The End of Season Two: A Story Path

Every other episode when we're coming back from one of those killer cliffhangers, it's carried on the timeline as a continuous narrative. At the start of season two, could we be looking at what happens the second after the OTC switches were released and the outies return? If the worst happens and the Innes memories are clean slated, we may see our beloved group of macrodats starting over again as newbies to the severed floor. As hard as it would be to see, this story path makes logical sense, especially from Lumen's perspective.
