What Happened to Trump's Records on Oct. 8th?
The federal presidential records act allows a former president to weigh in on whether presidential records can be released by the archivist. Federal law specifies that if both the former and the sitting president agree to withhold documents, then the documents are withheld. But since federal law says that the sitting president has the final say, the archivist told trump that the office is going to release the records on november twelfth,. unless a court tells them to do otherwise.
