The Origins of Gregory the Great

Gregory of Nissa was the first generation to be raised in something close to Christian culture. His family had been Christians for a couple of generations, one of Orgin of Alexandria's students, Gregory the Wonder Worker. Theodosius I is going to be a thoroughly Trinitarian committed Christian and creates something much more like a genuine Christian empire than he did before.
