In the introduction, i take off with the terms occupancy and viction. I set them up as as the keys to understanding economic inequality. If you look at the very long, longest history of of human experience, there have been the people who held on to place and the who were displaced. And we're looking at something like a long term tragedy. The same experience is being seen round the world, across the cities of india and africa. It's part of a global, ongoing land grab characterized by higher rents and land prices. But if we fail to understand these events, using the pattern of land courts in ireland and latin america,  we will miss out
