The History of Hollywood
Hollywood is an area of Los Angeles that became part of the city in 1910. In 1923, the famous Hollywood sign was put up - but it used to say 'Hollywood land' The golden age of Hollywood was between 1917 and 1960 when many films following a typical Hollywood style were produced. Since then, filmmaking has evolved and changed; no one can really agree if this is a positive or negative thing.
