The Importance of the Audience in Theatre

I'm completely enthralled to actors who I just don't know how they even begin to characterise a character in a play. The audience makes things slightly different, is that the audience affects how we play it. Particularly for playing a comedy, you can tell whether they're very quick and are adoring it and they will roar with laughter. But music, if you notice, the Maestro, the conductor, has his back to the audience. It's almost as if the music is more important. Of course you feel it, but you don't react to how the audience is enjoying it. You just go on. As theatre players, we are receptive toHow the audience is.
