Europe's View on the US Foreign Policy in Afghanistan
I think the failures of the united states in a number of places, erock and afghanistan most visibly, have certainly made more americans sceptical about some aspects of global engagement. The big learning from afghanistan is really that europeans simply can can follow when america decides it does something. And although they would have maybe handled the situation differently, they couldn't because they weren't seriously consulted. They basically, maybe they were informed, but they had apparntly no say. So europe sees its own weaknesses in the way the situation is unfolding in afghanistan.
